First Sitting Restaurant websites, considered.

A fresh perspective, with care

Restaurant website redesign.

Your restaurant has moved forward. Your website should keep pace. We redesign restaurant websites around the information guests need, the atmosphere you want to convey and the booking system your team relies on.

When a redesign is worth considering

Start with the parts of the current website that make a visit harder. Can a guest read the menu on a phone? Are the opening hours current? Does the booking button lead to the right restaurant? Does the page still represent the food, room and service you offer? A new visual identity alone will not fix missing information or a confusing route to a table.

A full redesign may be useful when the layout, content and platform all need attention. If the issue is a broken link, one outdated menu or a handful of small changes, a focused update may be enough. We look at the existing site and your priorities before deciding the scope.

  • A menu that only works as a difficult-to-read download.
  • An outdated design that no longer reflects the restaurant.
  • Booking links that are buried, broken or connected to the wrong location.
  • Pages that are awkward to read or navigate on a phone.
  • Old opening hours, former offers or missing contact information.
  • A platform or maintenance arrangement that makes routine changes difficult.

Keep what your guests already recognise

A redesign does not have to start by discarding your name, domain or good photography. We review what can be reused: brand assets, menu information, page content and a supported booking provider. The website should feel like the next chapter of the same restaurant.

Your domain can usually stay with its current registrar while the website is connected to new hosting, subject to account access and the existing arrangement. Email needs separate attention. Website DNS and email DNS serve different purposes; changing the website should not mean losing the restaurant’s inbox.

What the £500 redesign package covers

For a straightforward independent restaurant website, the package covers up to five pages customised to your brand, one mobile-friendly menu of up to 60 items, one supported booking integration or request form, opening hours and contact essentials. Two revision rounds, light text editing, basic search setup and a launch handover are included.

The build is paid in two parts: £250 to start and £250 on approval, before launch. Hosting and care cost £35 per month, including up to 20 minutes of small content updates with no rollover. Domains, provider fees, photography, substantial copywriting and more involved functionality are separate.

Extra standard pages are £75 each. Other agreed work is £50 per hour. We confirm the full scope, any migration requirements and the payable total, including any applicable VAT, in the written quote.

What to have ready

We agree safe access arrangements after the brief; do not send passwords in the initial enquiry. If you are unsure who holds the domain or how the website was built, say so. Identifying those dependencies early makes the launch plan more realistic.

  • The current website address and the main things you want to improve.
  • Your current menu, prices, opening hours and restaurant contact details.
  • Brand files and photographs you have permission to use.
  • The booking provider’s public link or official embed instructions.
  • An understanding of who controls the domain, hosting and email.
  • Any pages, private-dining enquiries or existing links you need to retain.

A preview before the switch

The new website is reviewed before the agreed switch to the live domain. We check the menu, contact details, booking route and the pages included in the brief, then confirm the launch arrangement with you. This allows feedback while the restaurant’s existing website remains available.

A typical package is ready in 7–10 working days after we have the content and agreed brief. Domain access, missing photography, provider changes or a complex migration can affect that timetable. Share your preferred opening or launch date at the start so the plan reflects it.

Send us your current website and what you would like to change. We will explain whether the defined package fits or whether the work needs a separate quote.
